Frequently Asked Questions
How do I download a YouTube video as MP4?
Copy the YouTube video URL from your browser or the share button. Paste it into ClipRip, select your preferred video quality, and click download. The MP4 file saves directly to your device.
Can I download YouTube videos in 4K as MP4?
Yes, if the original video was uploaded in 4K. ClipRip shows you all available quality options. Select 2160p (4K) from the list and download. Keep in mind that 4K files are larger and take longer to download.
Will the MP4 have both video and audio?
Yes. YouTube stores high-quality video and audio separately, but ClipRip merges them into a single MP4 file. You will always get video with sound.
Can I convert YouTube Shorts to MP4?
Absolutely. Copy the Shorts URL and paste it in. Shorts download as vertical MP4 files at whatever quality they were uploaded in, which is usually 1080x1920.
What is the difference between this and the YouTube to MP3 converter?
The MP4 converter downloads the full video with picture and sound. The MP3 converter extracts only the audio track. Use MP4 when you want to watch the video, use MP3 when you only need the audio.
