Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert a tweet to MP4?
Copy the tweet URL (from the share button or your browser address bar). Paste it into ClipRip and click download. The video portion of the tweet gets saved as an MP4 file on your device.
Does this work with X.com links?
Yes. Twitter rebranded to X but the video infrastructure is the same. Links from x.com, twitter.com, and t.co all work. Just paste whatever URL you have.
What about Twitter GIFs?
Twitter stores GIFs as MP4 videos under the hood. When you download a Twitter GIF through ClipRip, you get a short MP4 file. It will loop in most video players just like the original.
What quality do I get?
Twitter usually offers videos in multiple bitrates. ClipRip picks the highest quality stream, which is typically 720p or 1080p depending on what was originally uploaded.
