Frequently Asked Questions
How do I download a video from Pinterest?
Open the pin that contains the video. Copy the URL from your browser address bar, or tap the share button and copy the link on mobile. Paste that URL into ClipRip and click download. The video file will save to your device.
What is the difference between Video Pins and Idea Pins?
Video Pins are standard pins that happen to be videos instead of images. Idea Pins are Pinterest's multi-page format, kind of like Stories, where each page can be a video or image. ClipRip can download video content from both types.
Do pin.it short links work?
Yes. When you share a pin from the Pinterest app, it generates a pin.it shortened URL. ClipRip resolves these short links automatically, so just paste them in directly.
Can I download someone else's Pinterest video?
You can download any publicly accessible video pin. If the pin or board is set to private or secret, ClipRip will not be able to access it. Always respect the original creator's rights when using downloaded content.
What quality are Pinterest video downloads?
Pinterest videos are typically available in 720p quality, though some newer content may be in higher resolution. ClipRip always grabs the best quality version that Pinterest makes available for each pin.
