Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need to convert Reddit videos to MP4?
Reddit uses a streaming format called DASH that separates video and audio. You cannot just right-click and save. Converting to MP4 combines both streams into one standard file that works everywhere.
Will the MP4 have audio?
Yes. ClipRip automatically detects the audio stream and merges it with the video. If the original Reddit post had audio, your MP4 will too. Some Reddit posts are genuinely silent, and those will download without audio because there is none to include.
What resolution will the MP4 be?
The MP4 will match the highest resolution available from the Reddit post. Most Reddit videos are 720p or 1080p, but it depends on what the poster uploaded.
Can I convert Reddit videos to MP4 on my phone?
Yes. Open ClipRip in any mobile browser, paste the Reddit link, and download. The MP4 file saves to your phone's downloads folder. No app required.
